There is so much that has happened since February and Carson's birthday when the blog was last updated. I (Anthony) graduated with my MBA, we sold our van, we got callings.....oh and we had our baby! That seems like a good place to start, so let's start there :)
Molly Grace Monsivais was born on May 23, 2010. She weighed 6lbs and was 19 inches long.

We weren't planning on having her on the 23rd, in fact we were hoping to have her maybe on the 28th at best. The contractions were on and off for most of the day on the 22nd and we decided that we may as well see if she was ready to come right now. Missy walked on the treadmill for a while and the contractions were coming quite regularly, and we were starting to get a little excited/anxious/nervous. She sat down after walking and the contractions slowed and almost stopped. We figured that this meant that the baby was not ready to come out, so we went about our day. Well the contractions quickly returned and stayed steady for the next 4 hours. Finally we called our Relief Society president to see if she would come over for a "little bit" so that we could run to the hospital to see what they would tell us. When we got to the hospital I went to admitting, and Missy went upstairs to get hooked up so that they could track her progress. Unfortunately the baby must have been pretty shy, because hooking Missy up to track the contractions totally stopped the contractions again. Missy was dilated to a four, so the nurse gave us the option of walking for an hour to see if it would change anything which would allow them to keep us to have the baby. After an hour of walking we came back, and the nurse said that there was only a slight change and that maybe we should just wait there for another hour to see if anything else happened. Well after a second hour there was enough of a change that they decided to keep us. By this time (3am), we were both pretty tired and ready to get things going. From 3am until 8:20 when Molly was born Missy did a great job. She was very calm and handled everything like a pro! When it came time to push, she only had to push 5 times, and Missy has been having a great recovery. My job was to see what gender the baby was, and to be the one to tell Missy. Now just to be clear, I did want a girl, and me hesitating to say the gender was not dismay at the fact that the baby was a girl. I've watched the birth of 3 boys, and am very familiar with what that entails, so seeing that it was a girl took a second to register in my brain! Molly has been eating fairly well, and has been a pretty good baby, which has been a big relief. Here is link to some more pictures of Molly and some of the family that came to see us at the hospital (click here).

In addition to going to the hospital and bringing home a baby, we also brought home something else.
No, we didn't bring home a marker so the kids could draw on my leg, we brought home some extremely weird infection. I didn't hit my leg or have any open sore or anything. I picked up Missy from the hospital on Monday, and we came home, and hadn't been home more than an hour or two, and I started to have cold sweats, and a fever, and ended up curled up in a blanket on our bed. I had some pain in my leg, but assumed it was from running on Saturday. On Tuesday morning I still felt ill so I showed Missy my leg and we noticed that it was red and swollen. To make a long story short, it took 3 days, 2 steroid shots, oral antibiotics, a very expensive ultrasound of my veins at the hospital, and lots of 800mg IBProfen, to finally stop the spread of the infection and swelling. The Dr said that because there was no break in my skin they cannot be sure, but he thinks that it was a severe case of cellulitis.
Zoe, Carson, Parker, and Sam are all doing great. A couple of weeks ago we all went over to the park to play and take some pictures. This one of Zoe was my favorite!
Her face came through a little soft, but other than that I think that it was a great picture! Zoe's aunt Jen made her hat btw, and I think Zoe looks great in it and that Jen did a great job.Sam was totally in love with all of the play equipment. He is such a dare devil, and really lives his little life with reckless abandon!
Carson doesn't like to smile for the camera a whole lot. But I caught him having fun a few times!
Parker is much like Sam in that he is always moving. But I still managed to catch him before he went flying down the slide.
