It Is Almost Christmas...

The Monsivais Family Christmas party was last weekend. The pageant was a great success as usual.
Zoe was such a good Mary. She kept praying.

Josh made the perfect Joseph. Zoe was so happy to have her favorite cousin play the lead with her.
Carson was one of the three wise men.
Parker wanted to be a lamb, but he had to settle for a shepherd. He did a great job though.
Sam was happy to crawl underneath the coffee table.
We had a visit from Santa too. When he came in the door, Zoe was so excited she almost cried. The kids all went and got a gift from him.
Anthony took some fun pictures of the frost on our trees. The morning looks so peaceful when everything has snow on it like this.
Zoe went to her best friend's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese and she got to meet Chuck E. Cheese. She got way into it.
We took the kids to see the lights at Temple Square. I was not as impressed. They have cut back on a lot of the lights. The kids had fun though. Sam kept yelling, "Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!"

Zoe gave me the double thumbs up. That is how you know it is good!
Sam's hat kept falling down on his eyes. He would yell, "Mom!" and we would stop and fix it.
He was a good sport about it and laughed every time.

Loading all of those pictures made me think of this picture. This is one of my favorites. It is a little blurry, but I think it adds to how fun the picture is. This was Sam when he was five-months-old and we took him to see the zoo lights at Hogle Zoo.
This is Sam with his first snowball. He was so fascinated with it. Then when he realized that it was cold and melting, he was done.

Requested Update

It has been a rather long time since I have updated my blog. I would love to have a great excuse, but the only real excuse is that I did not feel like it was appreciated. I very rarely get comments and it is usually the same few people anyway. Blogs are hard work! I will admit, I need to be validated. Please comment, if you do not know how, learn how to (please). So here is what has been happening.....

When the air is really dry, Sam gets bloody noses in his sleep. So sometimes he wakes up looking like he was in a fight.
Zoe made Sam a foam sticker picture. Sam loves foam stickers, but he loves them even more when they are on his head. He put them on the back of his head......
and then moved to his face. Zoe was upset at first, but got over it.
This is how the girls rake the leaves.
Carson and Parker have decided that they will no longer sit next to Sam at the counter. Sam wants to hug them the entire time.
When you are one, it is fun to eat dinner with a measuring spoon (not easy, just fun).
We had a lot of fun this Halloween. Zoe was Tinkerbell, Carson was the black Spiderman, Parker was Superman, and Sam was Batman. Sam was not wearing his mask, and the kids smeared their face paintings very early on, but they still all looked cute.
We went to Grandpa Kim and Nana Carol's to paint some pumpkins a few days before Halloween.
Sam kept making the funniest "mad" face.
Zoe put a lot of work into her white pumpkin.
Zoe was so scared of their decorations.
The big kids conquered the corn maze all on their own.
Sam loved sitting on this merry-go-round...... that is until it started to move. Then he freaked out and refused to get back on.
We celebrated Dave's birthday at a pirate pizza place. Mike and G had a coupon for half off their biggest pizza, so we decided to split it. This pizza was HUGE! It fed so many people.
I love dressing Zoe like this. I think she looks like Madeline.
The kids love to do the play food in the little kitchen. Sam has recently started getting way into it.
He has such a fun personality!

Birthday Bash 2009

We had a huge birthday celebration for Anthony, Zoe and Parker last weekend. We started with Zoe's surprise room makeover. She wanted a Tinkerbell room really bad so we did a few little things to make it look new. This is the before picture:
and this is the after:
I started my morning by decorating a cake for all three birthday people. Anthony got a football cake:
Zoe got a star cake with pixie dust:
Parker got a Batman cake (not my best cake ever):
We had a balloonist come and he did an amazing job. Some of my favorites were; The Roadrunner,
Batman,
Donald Duck,
Elmo,
and a penguin.
The kids all did the pinata.

We had face painting too. The kids got way too many gifts (thank you very much everyone). The party was a great success and we had a ton of fun.

Our handsome baby boy

Sam was so excited to go to church in this outfit. He knew that he was handsome and he kept running around and smiling at everyone.
